Hello Xangarians,

I don't know if anyone checks or uses Xanga anymore. I know Mildred you still post! Good on you! But the other night I was just reading on some of my old blogs. I got so nostalgic, it was such an awesome feeling! But not as awesome as how God has totally blessed me!

So for those who don't know, I just finished Teachers College up at Nipissing University. I have been looking for a teaching job within a school board - anywhere from T.O. to Windsor. And supposedly, you're supposed to sign up on this website and apply to all the school boards you want within this website, and IF they school board is looking for a teacher, they will access this website and contact you. So I did that, just apply and let me resume sit there on file just waiting/hoping/praying to be picked up by a school board. Months passed, nothing...I see job openings, I apply. No success.

Finally, just a couple of weeks ago, I got called in for an interview to be on the occasional teacher list for the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board! I prepared well for the interview, and thought I did just an alright job at the answering questions. A few days later (last Friday) I get a call at around 4 PM from HWDSB notifying me that I was a successful candidate for the job!

During the interview, however, they asked me who recommended me for an interview for the HWDSB. I told them that I did not know anyone working for the school board. They were very confused and puzzled. I told them I just applied on the "Apply to Education" website, they were very surprised that that website actually worked! So I am very much so convinced that God had answered all the prayers that have been said regarding my job search! So thank you all who have been praying for me and my job search!

It's not a full time position or anything, but it's a start. We'll see what else God has planned for me!

The Great White North

So I'm back in North Bay...

There's so much snow! I left Sunday after church. It snowed so much Saturday night. I had to wake up early to shovel the driveway! It was pretty heavy snow too, I was so tired for church! Hahaha! Sunday started to rain, they said there was a freezing rain warning. I was pretty scared about my 4 hour drive up north!

But after church, I started my car, and off I went! As I was driving along the 403, there were so many cars in ditches and such! Scary! I was very attentative behind the wheel the whole four hours up! Though they were the most tiring four hours of driving! Changing lanes with the snow in the middle of the road...scary!

So when I get into North Bay, I get settled back in, and head to bed. Next morning (Today) I go out to my car, and there's like 30 cm's of snow! I had to dig my car out of the snow to get out of the parking lot! It was crazy! And it was so cold too! Wow! I'm not going to be getting used to this...weather network says there's going to be more snow on the way!! Dang...

Hey everyone,

Well, a few months back, I was bored sitting in my room in North Bay. So I decided to visit http://www.addictinggames.com. As I was scrolling down, something caught my eye. It wasn't an icon of a picture, it was the word, "Quiz". Hmmm...you might ask why the word QUIZ catches my eye? I love doing small/long quizzes, they are fun! No matter what the topic is! But what made this QUIZ so unique was it was entitled, "The Impossible Quiz II" I was like, what the heck is this all about?! And why is it in the Addicting Games website? So I clicked on it, and it was the most weirdest thing...I started hearing "The Go! Team" I thought it was my Winamp was playing it, but it was the Quiz. And so I followed the instructions (weird instructions), and started the quiz! It's quite interesting! And if you are bored, I would like to share this "game" with you! After I gave up on the quiz, I thought to myself, what the first one was like. So I Googled, "Impossible Quiz", and it showed up! So I was determined to beat it! Practice Teaching

Hello all you Xangarians who still read/check/use Xanga!

It's been a while since my last post! So why not break that hiatus and post a blog!? So I've been Practice teaching at a high school for 4.5 weeks now in total. It's been a great experience, it felt really weird to be in a high school again, but after the first week, it really brought back memories of when I was in high school! All the kids are immature; girls gossip, boys act tough. Nothing has changed. Though there is a new trend of kids in high school that people label as "emo". To be honest with you, there weren't too many emo kids that I saw in my school (probably becuase they're all hiding under the stairs or washroom in the dark?? Hahaha...jusk kidding..).

Anyways, so when I started teaching, it was pretty fun! Getting up in front of the class teaching, writing on the chalk board, doing examples, all that teacher fun stuff! I've built a pretty good rapport with the kids, it's pretty neat to interact with them, you can learn a lot from your student's it's true!

Let's see, what else is there going on? So this weekend I'll be going to Windsor! It's always great to go back there! Visit Christine and friends and WCAC! Good times always! And this week 180 is playing MY CLUE GAME! Woohoo! Who would've thought that that game would make a second appearance?! But I'm totally excited for it!

Anyways, today my grade 12 Data Management class wrote a test today, which means I have to do a bunch of marking tonight...so I should get to it! So I will leave this be here. Have a good day! Bye-bye!

The Time Is Near

The End Is Near

It's December...it's not snowing, it's rather warm...it's snowed the first weekend of Decmeber, it was also the coldest week of December. These past few weeks were beautiful weather! It's approximately the 2006th December recorded in history...this December...will be the end of my undergrad. University of Windsor Alumni, I will be able to say that University of Windsor is my Alma Mater.

After living on your own, it really teaches you a lot. A lot about yourself, and who you are. About things of life, like paying rent, paying bills, grocery shopping, planning for things that you have to do in order for you to stay alive. I learned to rely on God more on things that I couldn't control, or things that were just too stressful for me to handle at the moment.

Hmmm...what I will miss..

~Student lifestyle.
~Instant Noodles.
~Roomate (past/present): Norbert, Eric, Desmond.
~Antennae TV.
~Late night walks along Riverside.
~WCAC & People.
~180 Fellowship.
~Pita Grill/Eros/Xic Lo/Sun Hong/Hing Lung.
~Late night traffic noises by the University.
~Intramural Soccer.
~School friends.

etc.

Things I will NOT miss..

Well, these were a few things that I would say I would miss and not miss...but all in all, I will miss Windsor as a WHOLE, and the people in Windsor. You guys have been very welcoming and very kind and genorous! Really! Thanks everyone!

Okay, well, Wednesday is my official last exam. It will be great to be done! I can't wait! The sucky part is that my exam is at 7PM-10PM...The last day of exams on the last possible timeslot. I'm so anxious to get this over with.

But for those of you who are thinking "Oh Nelson, I'm going to miss you, you're so great...blah blah blah...etc.." Don't worry, I'll be back to visit! Haha! I'm such a loser, why would anyone say that.

180 Fellowship - MURDER MYSETERY!! - October 28th - Dillon Hall

Hello 180! For all of you who check Xanga, this is the instructions/rules for the Murder Mystery for the up coming Fellowship! Please read it, so it will reduce time to explain things the day of! If you have any questions feel free to ask in the comment box below! Here are the rules..

When: Satruday October 28th, 2006 @7.30PM

Checklist items

9 Murder Locations - (Rm 352, Rm 264, Rm 256, Basement, Tunnel Entrance, North stairs, Central Stairs, South Stairs, Roof stairs)

9 Suspects - (Quyen, Peon, Richard, Christine, Andrew, Shirley, Shawn, Angelai, Nelson)

6 Weapons - (Stapler, Scissors, Watergun, Rope, Knife, Bat)

Goal of the Game for Detectives...
**************************************

This game is pretty much like the boardgame CLUE, where you have a checklist, and you must eliminate suspects/murder rooms/weapons off your list to narrow down the who, where and how of the murder.

To get clues, your team must travel together around Dillon Hall and search for clues. Clues will be for example "Basement", thus if you find this clue, you would check Basement off your list,and hence you know that the basement was NOT a room where the murder took place. You can either check everything off your list,and make your guess.

OR...

You can look for different clues that have a letter and a number. For example (b.39), the b represents the colour blue. The number represents the number itself, there will be 9 of these types of letter/number combos, and they are combinations to 3 locks, which are located somewhere in Dillon Hall. If you unlock the lock, there will be the answer of WHO/WHERE/or HOW. So in the lockers you may find, (Nelson). This tells you that NELSON is the murderer. But these letter/numbers will be harder to look for.

TO MAKE A GUESS, you must get one of the game co-ordinators and bring them to the room where you THINK the murder took place, and make your guess. IF you guess correctly, the game is over, and that team wins. IF GUESSED INCORRECTLY, that team is penalized and must sit out of the game for 5 mins. There will be a point system, that will be discussed day of fellowship.

Also, they must keep their alert on at all times...WHY? Because there is a MOLE TEAM that is playing the game to SABOTAGE all other teams. You can try and find out WHO the Mole team is to get answers aswell.

TO MAKE A GUESS ON THE MOLE, you get one of the game co-ordinators and you make your guess. WARNING, your team only has ONE GUESS on who the mole is for the ENTIRE game. If you guess incorrectly, you are penalized 5 mins of game play and minus points, if you guess CORRECTLY, you earn an answer slip, and you must then go look for the MOLE team (Secretly) and flash them the slip, and you get to ask them a WHO OR WHERE OR HOW question, which the mole team must answer honestly. (The mole team knows ONLY who/where/how...nothing else). When approaching the MOLE TEAM to "interrogate" them, The mole team must co-operate and stop what they're doing and go someplace secret and give them an answer. After interrogation is finished, game continues for both teams. And one of the co-ordinators will take a weapon out of their stash and relocate that weapon else where in Dillon Hall. If the stash is found by other teams, then that team can simply cross off weapons off their list.

Goal of the game for the Mole team...
**************************************

If you are the mole team, you have 3 objectives...
1) Collect all 6 weapons one at a time, and stash it away in ONE location, somehwere SECRET in DILLON HALL. If you suspect that your stash is in a dangerous location, you may decide to switch the stashing location. Remember the 6th weapon is in one of the lockers.
2) Collect all 9 lock combos and unlock the lockers and destroy the answers.
3) Keep your identity a SECRET at all times!!

Once the first 2 objectives are completed, the game is over, and team MOLE wins.

Basic RULES and Guidelines and Hints and Tips...
**************************************

All teams must stay together, and ONLY ONE team is allowed in a room at a time. If a room is occupied by a team, you must leave and go to another room, and come back another time. No team can move any items. Leave all the evidence where you found it. The Mole team is only allowed to move weapons.

The Mole team will be ASSIGNED Prior to this Saturday, and who ever is IN the moles team, is the mole aswell. There will be roughly 3-4 persons in a team, depending on attendance.

Teams can try and pretend they are the Mole team to try and get the other teams penalized.

Starting the game, you will be spread out throughout Dillon Hall, and will be notified when to start.

Trading info with other teams are allowed, but beware, the mole is out there, who will you trust? No asking where what item is where though. Strictly trading info on the checklist.

Voila...I hope you guys show up on Saturday to "enjoy" this game.
